The Schools Project

The UK Onshore Geophysical Library is pleased to be able to offer active support for the UK Schools Project, an innovative initiative by the University of Derby. The scheme provides extremely informative resource materials for the teaching of the principles of seismic interpretation and sub-surface mapping to A-Level students.

The initial preview data set is available online and, if of interest, can be followed up by the provision of a CD containing full resolution seismic images, animations and an A3 seismic master set for students to interpret. Here are some example slides:
